The Red Cam workflow begins when you shoot footage to either Compact Flash Cards or RED Cam hard Drives (320GB HDD). The footage gets processed by RED ALERT or REDCINE - A Red Cam application which scales shots, colour corrects and adjust white balance, which then gets exported to a format of choice. Final Cut Studio Pro 6 natively edits redcode raw files in 2k mode which makes it even easier in post-production processes. Finally export from either REDCINE or your NLE and into color-correction suite such as Scratch (natively handles 4k RED footage), Apple Color (supports 2k RED footage), or application of your choice to do final corrections. |
